The Name
Ha'Shem-הַשֵּׁם
Shalom (peace & wholeness) mishpacha (family)! When it comes one of the great controversies & arguments today, the name of the creator and His son is at the top of the list. There are many that hold the view that it doesn't matter what his name is, because He knows who are talking about. We speak English, so therefore we're going to use the English version of His name. Or even arguments such as, He's always answered by that name so why change it now? Or I don't see a problem with calling Him what we have always known (and the like)... We're going to explore/see if these statements/arguments can stand the test of time & be true. Albert Einstein has a quote that states, "Condemnation before investigation, is the highest form of ignorance." At this ministry, we don't believe or subscribe to any of the above arguments or statements. This page is going to explore "THE WHY!" It's important to know that we approach the scriptures from the Hebrew (Ivriyt) perspective. Even the creator states... "Then they said, “The Elohey (God of) the Hebrews (Ivriym) has met with us. Please let us go a three days’ journey into the wilderness that we may sacrifice to Yahuah (the LORD) our Elohey (God), lest he fall upon us with pestilence or with the sword.”-ESV Exodus 5:3
So if Yahuah (the creator) introduces Himself as the Elohey (it means POWER, JUDGE, MIGHT from Strong's Concordance H430 Elohim), then by right we should view Him from the perspective of the people He's the Power over. Right? *Side note-we will be using the name Elohey, Eloah, El, Elohim instead of god, and you will find out why in this series.* Language is a vehicle for culture and very important when trying to understand the people that are penning the book about Him. So if it's from their perspective, then wouldn't it make sense to call Him what they called Him, if we're viewing it from their perspective? The creator has a name and shared it with us in the scriptures, "Exodus 3:15 Elohim (God) also told Moses, “Say to the Israelites, Yahuah (The LORD), Elohey (the God of) your fathers—Elohey (the God of) Abraham, Elohey (the God of Isaac), and Elohey (the God of) Jacob—has sent me to you.’ This is My name forever, and this is how I am to be remembered in every generation." We don't call the name of Yahuah lord and/or god. And we definitely don't call the savior lord, Jesus, or Christ. Why? Because it's not from the Hebrew perspective or in the range of language (semitic) families. Even if you stayed in the range of semitic families with variations of pronunciations, it's perfectly fine, because the meaning, & pronunciation would mean the same, or close. So instead of saying lord, we will say master, adon(ai), or Yahuah; Instead of saying Christ or Jesus, we will say the Hebrew name Yahusha (some pronounce it Yahushua or Yehoshua and this will be addressed as well), Yeshua (Aramaic), mashiach (messiah). Again this is not attack on anyone for not knowing what we've discovered, but we want to do everything in spirit and in truth. We also, want you to be informed on why we say these things and don't say what we've always heard/said. We are students of The Word too and we want you to see our progression to the truth. We use to not say Yeshua because of some faulty information we received, but now we've received greater understanding. As a disclaimer, these teachings are lengthy, meaty, weighty, and packed with intense/exhaustive information. So please grow with us and approach this with an open mind. It's going to be a huge shock & eye opener! You will never be the same after this! Shalom
